We are a community theater organization that was started 31 years ago by a dedicated group of Rensselaer locals, as an avenue for adults and children from the community to showcase their talents. Since then we have produced over 50 plays and musicals, relying on volunteers with a passion for the stage, performing to area residents with a passion for the theater. Our current board boasts twelve members. Individuals who have dedicated their time and resources to the success of Carnegie as we move forward through another exciting production.
President
From planning, to building, to acting, this construction laborer, and ballroom dancer, makes sure everything makes it to stage on time, and on budget. He specializes in keeping moral up, and is responsible for the general positive attitude around set.
Treasurer
Having retired from nutritional advising at the local hospital. Jay now donates much of his time to his Church and to our theater group. He keeps the books, signs the checks, and is often the first call, when it comes to running errands around town, or filling in for dropped roles on stage.
Secretary
Local librarian, artist, needle worker. Don't let this quiet young lady fool you. She is a powerful talent both on and behind stage. She also heads up our costume department and can be found helping out around the whole production.
Membership Secretary

She has been a long-standing board member of Carnegie, and can be found working front of house, stage managing, and anywhere else an extra pair of hands is needed. Her husband can also be found most shows behind our sound board.
Grant Writer
Line dance teacher, dance composer, former piano teacher, and general all-around ball of positive energy. Aurora has taken our grant writing bull by the horns, and occasionally finds time to run concessions and pick up bit parts in our stage productions.
From directing, to stage managing, to singing. This Purdue tech employee is the backbone of Carnegie. She is the glue that holds the players together, and picks up on the little things that get forgotten by others. She is one of the two board members that could run an entire production single-handedly if necessary.
This library maintenance worker never would have thought he would find a place in theater. But after playing a bit part in a show two years ago. He had his eyes opened to the world behind the stage. He can be found either in his own garage shop or in Carnegie's storage buildings, working away on set pieces, and props, preparing for the next show.
Being a local finance guru, and adviser, Christine relishes the chance to get out and flex her creative side as our head of set dressing, as well as being a volunteer and board member for the Prairie Arts Counsel. She has acted in past Carnegie productions, and the theater and the arts will always hold a special place in her heart.
Accomplished author, and playwright, avid bicyclist, actor, pianist, and Wizard of Oz collector. There is not much this force of nature will not tackle. Always a ready volunteer at every meeting, Peter makes up for his few physical shortcomings by pure volume of will and enthusiasm!

Former local radio celebrity, mother, and altogether most likely to be overbooked, over-volunteered, overstretched for time, and enjoying every minute of it. Chrissy is a recent addition to the board. After overcoming her second round of stage fright in our spring production after being dared to participate by her teenage daughters, and realizing theater might be fun after all.
This Stockvet employee, auditioned for the first time last year. Which turned into a trial-by-fire, with a double casting! Undaunted, he returned six months later to play a singing elf! Only having been added to the board early this year. He readily found a place in theater, and will be joining Cody this year as a steady hand backstage, and a firm voice on stage.
