Friend of Our Community

The Carnegie Players have produced a professional theatre experience since 1994.

Our most immediate necessity is a new storage facility. Over the course of 30 years, The Carnegie Players has accumulated costumes, props, walls, stairs and sound and light equipment. It is all located in six buildings in four different locations. Carnegie has most recently purchased (and paid in full), two lots at 526 E. Walnut St., Rensselaer. It is at this location that we wish to build our new storage and work facility.

This facility will enable The Carnegie Players to better organize their inventory, keep it clean, and get everything situated in one central location in Rensselaer. Most importantly, this will allow us to begin construction of the set weeks before rehearsals begin for a production, instead of on-sight at the location that we presently must do. One central location will also enable us to be a loaning source for theatre organizations and non-profits in the area.

We have launched the Carnegie 21 Campaign (C21) to bring this need to a reality. Would you please consider a donation of $50.00, $100.00, $250.00, $500.00, $1000.00 or more today? Any contribution would be greatly appreciated to help us reach our goal of $80,000.00. The Carnegie Players is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit entity. All proper tax documentation will be provided by The Carnegie Players to you for your tax-deductible contribution. If you have questions, you are encouraged to contact Jay Covill at 219-869-3609, or Phil Nagel at 219-869-0021. Stay up to date here at www.thecarnegieplayers.org or Facebook at The Carnegie Players of Rensselaer. The Carnegie Player’s promise to bring a new experience to the area with our newest endeavor and keep community theatre alive for generations in the future.
